Where did you complete your LLM from?

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Did you pursue any specialization? If yes, why did you choose that?

I did not get a concentration, but my opted courses were mostly business and transactional law related. I want to practice transactional law and eventually work as in-house.

Any advice for prospective LLM applicants for the application process?

Portray yourself as a representative of diversity. A little more effort goes a long way, so make sure you touch on all your relevant experiences and any interesting extracurriculars. A good application shows purpose, show your’s.

Are you planning to give the bar exam? Or have you already given it? Any advice for that?

That’s a long discussion! I am sitting for the California bar exam this July. I’m taking it now after having graduated with a JD. The bar exam is not an easy bear to tackle, but discipline and practice would be the two key players that have proven worthwhile for anyone I know who has passed it.

One fond memory of the LLM Program for you.

Lots of free food!! every single day! Starting JD at University of San Diego Law made was a reality check that not every law school will spoil us with free (and delicious) food four times a week!
